Tim Southard is in his second term as magistrate for District 3.
A longtime Corydon resident who graduated from Henderson County High School in 1983, Tim went to work at the Sonoco plant here, eventually becoming the facilities lead mechanic, a position he held for 12 years. After 33 years at Sonoco, Tim retired but didn’t stay idle. He returned to his family’s corn and soybean farm and still works it today.
In The Community
Tim serves on the Henderson County Flood Mitigation Board, the Fiscal Court’s Finance Committee and the PFAS Working Group. He as served on a grant vetting committee for Henderson County United Way.
Personal Life
Tim and his wife, Joda, have two adult children, Kyle and Shanda, and five grandchildren.
