Bobby Norris, Assistant County Attorney

J. Robert "Bobby" Norris joined the Henderson County Attorney's Office in 2019 as an Assistant County Attorney.

Bobby earned his Bachelor of Arts in Government from Western Kentucky University in 1995, and an M.B.A. from W.K.U. in 2008. Bobby earned his law degree from the University of Kentucky in May 1998. He was admitted to the Kentucky Bar in October 1998 and immediately began his legal career in Henderson.

During the course of his 25 year legal career, Bobby has amassed 11 years of general private practice legal experience and 14 years of experience as a prosecutor. Bobby has attended state and national prosecutorial training programs.

Bobby has served as a Special Prosecutor in several counties across the Commonwealth, and was appointed to serve as a Special Assistant Attorney General to represent the interests of the Commonwealth in an appellate DUI case. Bobby obtained a favorable published opinion in that case, affirming the DUI conviction of a criminal defendant who was challenging the Constitutionality of our DUI statutes.

Bobby was blessed to have had significant agricultural experience as a child and teen on his grandfather’s farm, and in 4 years of high school FFA. This experience has been a tremendous positive influence throughout Bobby’s life, and he eagerly accepted when the opportunity came along for him to serve as Kentucky State FFA Alumni Council President.

Bobby resides in Henderson County with his wife and four young children.
