Fiscal Court Elected Positions

The Henderson Fiscal Court oversees the administration of the County of Henderson.

The Fiscal Court meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday's of each month at 9:30 a.m.. The Fiscal Court Room is located on the 3rd floor of the Court House.

Magistrates are elected officials whose terms last 4 years. Their administrative duties include, caring for county roads, bridges, property, and levy of property taxes. The magistrates possess official power only as members of Fiscal Court.

Bruce Todd

Bruce Todd

Magistrate: District 2

Bruce Todd was first elected to Fiscal Court in 2006. Born and raised in Henderson County, Todd graduated from Henderson County High School and worked at Accuride Corporation, where he retired in 2017 after 41 years of service. He is a member of the Joint City / County Cooperative Study Committee, the Fiscal Court's Detention Center Committee, the Volunteer Fired Department Committee, the Henderson County Flood Mitigation Board, the Green River District Health Department Board and the Henderson County Health Board, Todd was elected to the Kentucky Association of Counties Executive Board of Directors in 2014 served as KACO's president in 2016-17. He is currently president of the Kentucky Magistrates and Commissioners Association. He attends Zion Baptist Church and serves on its Deacon Advisory Council. He and his wife, Cindy, have two adult children.

Charles Alexander

Magistrate: District 3

Charles Alexander is the longest-serving current member of the Henderson County Fiscal Court. First elected to the panel in 1992, Alexander is completing his seventh term. Alexander was raised in Henderson County and graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1975 with a degree in animal science. He immediately went to work on the family farm near Smith Mills and has been a full-time farmer ever since. He is a member of the Green River District Health Department Board, the Henderson County Health Board, and the Fiscal Court's Road Department and Volunteer Fire Department committees. He is an active member of the Smith Mills Lions Club. He and his wife, Marsha, attend Belleview United Methodist Church in Smith Mills. They have an adult son, Wesley, and two granddaughters.

Butch Puttman

Butch Puttman

Magistrate: District 4

Butch Puttman was first elected to Fiscal Court 2010. Raised in Henderson, Puttman graduated from Henderson City High School, then worked for 37 years at Century Aluminum. He also served as president of the United Steelworkers Union Local No. 9443-00. Now retired, he presently serves on local Salvation Army Advisory Board, The Gathering Place Board and the Kyndle Large Investor Council. Puttman is married to the former Debbie Cole of Evansville, Ind. They have three adult daughters, Amy, Juli and Ashley, and five grandchildren.
